Moving to Tokyo - COL

I am considering relocating to Tokyo and wondered if anyone could provide some insight on what it would cost to get a 2 (prefer 3) bedroom place. Also, any ideas on what it might cost for a fulltime live-in nanny and international school for young child?

Dear Sinjin,
The location in Tokyo will have a very large effect on the possible costs of an apartment / home.
Can you be more specific on the portion of the city you expect or want to live in??
As regards the live-in and schools, again a wide verity of options....what kind of school (American, British, Japanese) are you looking for?

Prefer something around Akasaka since my office is there. As for school, American. We are fairly flexible on the live in nanny ... just someone good with kids.

school: 2 million yen/year.
Apartment: Hazard to guess 300k/month.
