does anyone know whether i can just walk into a pharmacy and buy ritalin in shanghai? about how much does it cost? i know there are clinics that can prescribe it and sell it but i don't have health insurance.... i speak some chinese, so if there is a decent local clinic you can recommend, that'd be really appreciated.

Ritalin is found in most local pharmacy but you need a doctors prescription before they can sell to you.

It would be advisable to have an assesment made, before using this drug. It is a controlled drug and therefore a doctors prescription is required. This drug is seldom used, a more slow release drug might be advisable like Concerta.
