I am looking for information about getting sterilized in Hong Kong. I am a 25-year-old in good health who has given birth to one healthy child. I do not have health insurance so I am looking for the most affordable and safest route to getting my tubes tied. If you have information please respond.

Have you spoken to your local doctor about this? It is available in the public health system but I have no idea how it works. I'd certainly make the doctor my first port of call if I wanted to find out.

Hi and thanks for replying. I do not have a local doctor here in Hong Kong. I went through part of my first (and only) pregnancy here but never found a very good OBGYN--I ended up returning to the States to give birth because I didn't like the Hong Kong maternity system very much.

I don't really want to go back to the OBGYN I saw before. Other than going to a public hospital--does anyone know of a good doctor who has experience with this sort of thing--not necessarily an OBGYN?
