Ok, we've booked the 'babymoon' to Koh Samui for a week in April, I will be about 25-26 weeks along when we travel.
Does anyone have any reccommendations for a travel insurance policy that will cover me if I need medical attention relating to the pregancy when I am away?
I have tried a number of websites for quotes, but haven't found anyone that includes pregnancy.
Thanks!
I don't see why you would be treated differently. But then again I'm no expert. Have you tried actually calling/emailing the agents/companies and asking?
I have emailed a few sites and waiting for the replies. None I have looked at on the web include pregnancy - it's always listed under 'what is not covered' small print.
I understand some policies I may be able to pay a higher premium and be covered - just wondering if anyone out there has done this and who with?

Ask them about their NEW "american Express card promotion-Travel insurance". Ask if they excluded coverage for pregnancy. If they didn't excluded it, You should be save with that travel insurance.
yes some travel insurance do cover pregnancy.
when i went to m'sia last year for a holiday, i bought a family plan for all of us and paid for a middle of range package (instead of the most basic one) because there was a specific coverage for pregnant related medical expenses. i decided it was worth it because i had bleeding in my 1st trimester and didn't want to take any chances.
There is a Travel plan that only covers medical expenses, including pregnancy upto the 36th week whilst travelling. Or the 18th week if the pregnancy is the result of any kind of fertility treatment.
