Wii & PS3 Zoning (help please)

I am considering buying either a Wii or Playstation 3 for my children and am unsure how the zoning works or is set up. I am curious if I buy either of the units here in HK, when I move back to Australia will Australian sourced games work in the unit?

Hi Cheesy,

I am from the UK, but all PS3 consoles are region free. All games work on all PS3 worldwide. Just worry about warranty, as it is only active in HK.

As for the Wii, this console is region coded, so you would have to buy a Australian one.

The PS3 GAMES are apparently region free, BlueRay and DVD player of the PS3 is NOT!

PS3 games are confirmed as region free, not apparently.

Blu-ray is region A for Japan, HK and USA.

Dvd will be region 3 for HK and Region 2 for Japan.
