Which are the more quiet beaches in Phuket. We're going there with a toddler and would like to stay away from the super crowded, party beaches. Can anyone suggest which area is best?
Last year, my husband and I opted to stay away from the partying crowd of Patong Beach and instead found a hotel along Karon Beach. There are lots of resorts to choose from depending on your budget.
You can rent a private car with driver to take you to Patong (and there is a bus/jeep that plies the route every 30mins) if you want to sample the restos there. The tuktuks are fun, but I would be nervous if a child is is with us..
If you're with kids, you should try Bangtao Beach where all the five star resorts are. We stayed at one of the hotels there and had a really nice time. Its quiet, safe and you don't see the party crowd, night clubs etc. Bangtao beach is also a really nice beach. Do not stay in Patong (as Annebin) says as the scene is more for the party crowd and its rather sleazy at times and it is not suitable for a trip with toddlers. It is fun to go to Patong for dinner (its 30 minutes from Bangtao) and we had a lovely seafood dinner there. Good luck!
Try Peach hill hotel..been many times with my 3 children incl baby.. not expensive , Beautiful incl. 3 pools, 3 min walk to beach from hill top also bus provided..but can walk there bus back up!! . V.Quiet
