working from home
Posted by firefly33 (447 days ago)
I am a mum of two and need to work, but want to stay at home with my kids. Ideally I would like to break into design or illustration, but don't know where to start. Has anyone any ideas of how to go about this? I really need to do something where I can work from home! Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Would love to get involved in something like that too - I will be having my first baby in early jan 08 and was thinking of not returning to work and starting up something freelance. I'm an architect with UK qualifications so design / illustration works for me - let me know if you get any ideas / would be interested in teaming up.

I would be interested in teaming up, always need someone else for moral support, bounce ideas around with etc.. I need to start asap however. How about you? Are you still working or stopping around December?

Teaching Italian cuisine, sounds like a good idea, it wouldn't work for me though, as i am useless at cooking! Although I am not too sure it could be done from home, due to health certificates required etc..! But worth for you to look into. I think there are various cookery courses around hk, so maybe they are looking for teachers? Good luck

There are lots of work from home opportunities and I'm in the process of getting myself set up for working from home.
If you're interested in graphic design work or similar, my recommendation would to attend a course in Illustrator or something similar as well as Photoshop. I know of a company that offers qualified courses whereby you come out with a Diploma in Graphic Design etc.
Message me if you would like to know more. :)
Also, I am studying to be a Soul Coach (similar to a life coach) and will be qualified early Nov. I am looking to pull together a "test" group.
Message me if you would like to know more. :)
