I am a sales agent and I represent Canadian and American jewelers and 2 handbag designers. I've been approached by a major dept. store about renting a counter from them. Do you think this would be a good way to promote these brands? It would quite a bit of work, with some money, but more importantly a place to showcase these wonderful designs. Any input would be helpful. TIA.
I'm selling to dept. stores, websites, boutique stores, and chains whereever is appropriate for this type of product. The suppliers are higher end, not the highest but to mid-high-end and not interested in Fairs. Any suggestions?
You say you're already supplying to department stores, by chance this department store that wants you to take out a space, is this one of the ones you currently supply to?
If so, don;t do it. They're simply trying to entice you to bear the risk rahter than them having to do so!
Hi Purple Queen, are you focusing ur biz only in HK? Or want to try somewhere else? I think China market has huge potential and people there are more willing to pay high price on foreign products. You can try the taobao.com to test the market. It's welcome to contact me at kwanie_t@hotmail for more ideas..
